Sustainability in our advertising materials

Information on sustainability for our advertising materials

Corporate philosophy resource-saving work with the result of sustainability and environmental protection.

In 2021, IMTC Manufacturing & Trade GmbH rethought its environmental protection concepts and made resource-conserving production its new top priority. Environmental audits and climate certificates alone are not the top priority for our company, but rather daily implementation. As part of our corporate strategy, we define a target every year to make our production even more resource-efficient.

  • Lighting with LED technology
  • Wallbox as an e-charging station for our customers and employees
  • We do not heat storage rooms
  • Sensible thermal insulation for our buildings

  • Use of leather from recycled leather scraps
  • Use of FSC, PEFC and Blue Angel certified paper
  • PVC is sent for recycling
  • All the waste paper is sent for recycling to the UPM paper mill in Schongau for the production of newspaper
  • We prefer suppliers in the region to avoid unnecessary freight

Materials

All materials used in the manufacture of an AXOPAD® brand pad must meet the following criteria, which are tested and documented by the independent testing institute GFU:

  • REACH Regulation: EC No. 1907/2006 (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals)
  • Phthalates in toys and childcare articles according to Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006, Annex XVII, No. 51 and 52 (The product or its components do not contain phthalates within the meaning of the Regulation)
  • PAH in consumer products according to GS specification (§21 para. 1 no. 3 ProdSG) of the Committee for Product Safety (AfPS) (The product or its components fall below the maximum permissible levels for materials with foreseeable long-term skin contact by children, (category 2a)

Printing technology / colors

  • Printed with solvent-free UV inks
  • The rapid curing process means that no substances escape from the ink into the environment outside the printing press
  • There is no need for the usual printing powder as a spacer between the sheets for the drying process
  • This means significantly less cleaning work, including cleaning agents in the press, and no fine dust emissions in the pressroom
  • No dispersion varnish required as abrasion protection
  • The paints do not contain any CMR1 substances and are therefore in no way harmful to health
  • The color particles are bound in the color in such a way that microplastics cannot be created at any time
  • If the ink coverage is less than 49%, our printed matter is considered compostable. Provided the substrate is suitable
  • Our customer Max Bringmann KG has had its material certified as safe for children in conjunction with our printing ink.

Waste management

  • Disposal of all recyclable and waste materials with reduced travel time rather than reduced costs. Close cooperation with the recycling experts from Staffelsee Recycling (100 m away) and Bader in Garmisch (25 km away)
  • Container volume adjusted so that it is disposed of max. 1x per month.
  • Paper separation into 3 classes (white material for reuse by the organization Papierretter, the surrounding kindergartens and schools / printed white material / cardboard boxes. We also use our waste paper as filling material for shipping.
  • Since the beginning of 2019, our printing inks have been developed by Siegwerk to such an extent that a recycling process is possible without any problems. A study carried out by the “Centre technique du papier” in Grenoble on 27.03.2019 together with our ink supplier Siegwerk proves the full decoloration of the paper in the recycling process.
  • The UPM paper mill in Schongau feeds our paper into the recycling process without any restrictions. The paper mill is certified with the Blue Angel. The proportion of UV-printed paper in all waste paper is currently 2%.
  • 100% recycling of PVC waste
  • Rags with cleaning cycle, therefore not for single use
  • Delivery of waste oils to a car repair shop with waste oil heating
  • Aluminum separation in 3 classes
  • Material separation of scrap iron, batteries, 3 types of bottle glass

How can you and we produce in an even more environmentally friendly way?

  • Avoidance of deadline freight
  • Rethinking complaints processing (many products are not limited in their function and results because of a scratch or a dot)
  • Rethink productions, create collective forms
  • CO²-reduced fleet
  • Paperless office

We are aware every day that we have to do our part to enable future generations to live a reasonable life on this earth. Let’s take a sensible and resource-conserving path together.
